No cookies, no accounts, no third-party scripts, no ads.

In your browser

The game keeps its own state in your browser's local storage, under gtp:v1: your best score, your last 20 results, the games you have seen recently (so you do not get them again), your settings and the run in progress, so a refresh does not lose it. It never leaves your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

This storage exists only for features you use, so it needs no consent banner.

On our server

• Shared results. When you press Share, the server stores the five games, your guesses and the score, so the link works. Nothing in it identifies you.
• Usage statistics. The site counts page views and game events with its own counter, in its own database. To tell visitors apart within a day, it hashes your IP address and browser name with a random key that is replaced at midnight UTC and never kept, so visits on different days cannot be linked. Your IP address is used for that hash and a country lookup, then dropped: neither it nor the full browser string is stored, only the browser, system and device type. Nothing is read from your device.
• Guesses. The guesses of each round are kept, without anything that identifies you, to tune the scoring.
• Opting out. With Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on in your browser, you are not counted at all.
• Server logs do not record IP addresses.

Leaving the site

"Analyse with HedgeHog" puts the game in the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to any server: HedgeHog's page reads it in your browser. The players are named White and Black.

The games

The games come from OpenGammon's open data. Player names, ratings and OpenGammon match ids never appear on this site, and nothing links a game back to its match on OpenGammon.
